Armed with an updated powertrain, the 2024 Chevy Traverse is expected to be more powerful and more efficient than its predecessor. The latest Chevy Traverse is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will make 315 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque - a 19% increase in torque. Married to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Chevy Traverse is expected to make 21 mpg combined with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available for all trim levels with a trail-rated twin-clutch AWD system exclusive to the Traverse Z71. When equipped for towing, the Chevy Traverse will handle 5,000 pounds of cargo.
